Privacy Policy

PawPortion is a pet food and nutrition calculator. It is designed to work without an account and to keep your data on your own devices. This policy explains what little data leaves your iPhone and why.

Data stored on your device

Pets, feeding plans, recipes, weights, photos and logs are stored on your iPhone. They leave it only when you share them (see below). We cannot access this data.

You can export all data as a JSON file and delete it at any time in Settings.

Share links you create

When you create a share link, the app uploads a snapshot of the selected recipe, plan or report to our server so that anyone with the link can view it. Your pet’s name is only included if you choose to include it.

Snapshots are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can revoke a link at any time in the app, which deletes it immediately.

Anonymous device token

To protect our server from abuse, the app obtains a random device token before it creates or revokes share links. The token contains only a random identifier and a timestamp. It is not linked to your Apple ID, your name or any hardware identifier, and it is not stored on our server.

Usage statistics and crash reports

The app sends anonymous usage events (for example, that a feeding plan was saved) and diagnostic logs to help us improve it. They never contain pet names, free text, contact details or precise location, and they are not linked to your identity.

Crash reports are processed by Google Firebase Crashlytics.

We do not track you across apps or websites, do not show ads and do not sell data.

Technical data and service providers

Our server runs on Cloudflare. Like any website, it necessarily processes your IP address and request details to deliver responses, prevent abuse and limit request rates. We do not store IP addresses with share snapshots. To limit request rates we keep only a keyed hash (HMAC) of the IP address (for IPv6, of its network prefix), for at most 24 hours; it cannot be turned back into the address. Request logs are kept by Cloudflare for a few days only.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details. For usage statistics, the app records an anonymous purchase outcome (the product type and whether the purchase succeeded or was cancelled).

Retention

Share snapshots: up to 30 days. Usage statistics and diagnostic logs: only as long as needed to operate and improve the app. Rate-limit counters: at most 24 hours. Data on your device: until you delete it.

Your rights

Because we do not ask for an account, we generally cannot link any server data to you. You can delete local data and revoke all share links in Settings. For access or deletion requests, or any question about privacy, contact us by email at candy66861@gmail.com and include the diagnostic ID shown in Settings.

Children

PawPortion is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
